Conservative Dentistry/ Restoration
Our Services
Conservative Dentistry is the branch of dentistry which is concerned with the conservation of teeth in the mouth and includes various kinds of direct and indirect restorations of individual teeth in the mouth.
1. Direct Restoration
When a tooth develops a cavity or fractures, it needs to be treated . If the pulp of the tooth is not involved, conservation of healthy tooth structure with a biocompatible material will be suggested.
We use a variety of biocompatible material for the direct restoration.
2.Indirect Restoration
This method is suggested by us when the restoration needs to be done outside the mouth, that is, in the dental laboratory. Some advantages of an indirect restoration are, it lasts longer, supports the tooth more effectively and also remarkably reduces micro leakage.
We at Intact Dental Care & Implant Center use esthetically acceptable biocompatible material to rehabilitate the structure and function of the affected tooth.
Our Treatments
Pit and Fissure Sealant
Pit and fissure (also termed Dental sealants or simply fissure sealants) are a dental treatment intended to prevent tooth decay. Teeth have recesses on their biting surfaces; the back teeth have fissures (grooves) and some front teeth have cingulum pits. It is these pits and fissures which are most vulnerable to tooth decay because food and bacteria stick in them and because they are hard-to-clean areas.
Dental sealants are materials placed in these pits and fissures to fill them in, creating a smooth surface which is easy to clean. Dental sealants are mainly used in children who are at higher risk of tooth decay, and are usually placed as soon as the adult molar teeth come through.
Resin
Resin Restoration is a type of restoration where the decayed portion of the tooth alone is removed and the healthy tooth is restored or filled with a biocompatible composite resin.
Inlay & Onlay
We, at Intact Dental Care & Implant Center care help you with both Inlay and Onlay Restoration techniques, these are the techniques that are performed under Indirect Restoration. This technique is performed outside of the mouth as a single, solid piece and helps to fit specific size and shape.
Crown
Crown Restoration is also called as dental cap is a type of procedure of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. We would suggest a crown when a large cavity damages the health of the tooth
